William Morris Brewery

What?

A pub conversion in a brewery and restaurant, budget : £1M

Where?

In Merton, West London

Who?

Buchanan Hartley Architects, London

When?

Year out 2013-2014, London

Project?

Along river Wandle, the existing public house is composed of two listed buildings, positionned next to a market place. The 1930's industrial building is partly occupied by offices and shops while the pitched house, dating from the XIXth century, is entirely occupied by the pub.

The proposal links the two buildings with a folded roof structure, a serie of pitched rooves oriented towards the river, offering additionnal restaurant space and a covered terrace.

Responsibilities?

Following the initial guidelines of chief architect Matt Hartley, I have designed the proposed structure. I have undertaken and issued the plans and images to the client and have been responsible for the pre-application procedure.
